Who are you and what do you do?
Hello! I’m Csaba (pronounced exactly like "Chubby" - yes, really!). Originally from Hungary, I’m a fully qualified driving instructor who is proud to be teaching on Scottish roads. I specialise in helping learners become safe, confident drivers while keeping the atmosphere in the car relaxed, positive, and enjoyable.

What is the best thing about being a driving instructor?
Watching a nervous, complete beginner transform into a highly competent, fully qualified driver.
 Okay, I’m kidding, that’s only the second best thing! Honestly, I love the flexibility this career gives me. Having a great work-life balance keeps my energy high, my mind fresh, and my patience endless—which means my students always get the absolute best version of me. (But watching you pass your test really is a very close second!).
What is the best advice you could give your learners?
Just breathe. It sounds incredibly simple, but it is the ultimate secret to driving. Taking a deep breath grounds you, clears your mind, and keeps the nerves at bay. Once you remember to breathe, everything else naturally falls into place.
What do you like to do when you're not working?
When the L-plates come off, my absolute priority is spending quality time with my family. I’m also a keen photographer and I love reading up on psychology. Believe it or not, an interest in psychology is a huge advantage in the instructor’s seat! It helps me understand how different people learn, effectively calm test-day anxieties, and tailor my teaching style to suit exactly how your brain works.
One interesting fact about you...
I could probably make the best steak sandwich in town. It's a bold claim, but I stand firmly by it!
