Who are you and what do you do?
Hi my name is Garry and I joined Caledonian through their training scheme to become a fully qualified driving instructor. The training and support has been fantastic with lots of potential for further professional development.

What is the best thing about being a driving instructor?
There are lots of positives to being an instructor but for me its meeting new people and helping them learn a new skill which will benefit them greatly. The ability to choose your own working patterns is also a huge advantage of being an instructor.
What is the best advice you could give your learners?
Learning new skills take time and be confident is your own abilities.
What do you like to do when you're not working?
Most of my down time is spent with family, friends and chasing after our silly dog.
One interesting fact about you...
When I was 19 I started my own record label.

I have learned lots of techniques mainly through parking which Garry had taught me to make me a better and more confident driver. I’m now better in every aspect of driving and everything is now natural to me. "
