What is the best thing about being a driving instructor?
Seeing someone's face light up when they find out they have passed, also watching a nervous beginner who believes they will never be able to drive transform into a confident, independent driver is incredibly fulfilling.
What is the best advice you could give your learners?
Take your time and enjoy the experience, don't let other road users rush you or put you off, everyone was a learner once.
What do you like to do when you're not working?
I was a mechanic for over 30 years before I became a driving instructor so I still have a keen interest in anything mechanical and you will often see me tinkering under a bonnet.

I have worked all over the world including Kuwait, The Falklands, Germany, Holland and Luxembourg.
