Who are you and what do you do?
I am Jayin, an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) offering automatic driving lessons in the Glasgow South and Renfrewshire areas. I am currently studying for a Professional Diploma in Coaching and Behavioural Change for Safe Driving and am committed to ongoing professional development.

What is the best thing about being a driving instructor?
One of the best things about being a driving instructor is witnessing my students' realisations and transformations.
Learners often start out feeling nervous, stiff, and sometimes even a little scared. However, as we progress, they gradually build their confidence, relax, and begin to trust themselves. It's rewarding to see them enjoy driving and hear their stories along the way.
When they pass their driving test on the first try, I truly feel their happiness. Those moments are what make this profession so enjoyable for me.
What is the best advice you could give your learners?
- Treat each trip as if you could be graded on safety.
- Confidence is important, but overconfidence can be dangerous.
- Adjust your speed to match the road conditions.
- Keep checking your mirrors regularly.
What do you like to do when you're not working?
When I'm not working, I enjoy relaxing activities like cooking and eating delicious food. I love spending time walking and watching documentaries. I also enjoy travelling to new destinations, especially when I can take long walks in the sunshine.
