Who are you and what do you do?

Hi, I’m Marek, currently working as a Potential Driving Instructor (PDI) with Caledonian DT. I also work as a professional lorry driver in the UK. Before that, I drove internationally across Europe, from the North to the South and East to the West. I’m passionate about sharing my life and driving experiences, which is why I decided to become a driving instructor in Poland for cars and motorbikes many years ago. Right now, I’m on my way to do the same job in the UK.

Everyday in my job as a lorry driver I see how daily drivers and professional drivers are dealing with problems on the road. I would like to share this experience with my students so they can understand how same problem look like from different perspectives of road users like cyclist, motorbikes, car drivers and lorry drivers so they can become a courteous and responsible driver not only for the self but also for other less experienced road users so they can avoid mistake that I did in my past.

I chose Caledonian DT based on reviews that big companies might not be suitable for me when looking for professional development as a driving instructor.
I really enjoy the friendly approach and regular Training & Development Days provided by the team.

What is the best advice you could give your learners?

Everyone learns at their own pace. Let’s find your path to learning. I’m here to help you not only pass your test but also answer any questions you might have about your first car, insurance, claims, mechanics - don’t hesitate to ask!

What do you like to do when you're not working?

I’m an active person, so I enjoy cycling, riding motorbikes, hiking and sailing. I also like flying drones and recording videos. I’m also a big reader, enjoy playing chess and fixing cars.

One interesting fact about you...

I passed all my licence A, B, C, D and E on my first attempt. I’m born to drive anything!
