Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Rik, I’m a trainee driving instructor with Caledonian Driver Training.
I deliver automatic lessons in an Electric Vehicle, and for everyone who passes their driving test with me, Caledonian will plant a tree in their name in the Caledonian highland grove!

What is the best thing about being a driving instructor?
My favourite thing about being a Driving Instructor is watching learners grow their confidence and skills then seeing them out on the road once they’ve passed their test.Â
What is the best advice you could give your learners?
The best advice I give my learners is don’t rush and you’ll usually get there faster.Â
What do you like to do when you're not working?
 When I’m not working I’m usually indulging a random hyper focus, recently this has included coffee brewing, photography and making things out of whisky barrels.Â
One interesting fact about you...
I worked in the mobile/tech industry for 20 years but now I’m utterly terrible with technology.
